What is brand building? What does an artist’s brand consist of, and how can you build your own brand? How do you visualise your music and artistry, and how do you maintain your own brand as an artist?
The Rhythm Academy’s ‘Brand Creation and Visualisation’ course focuses on brand building from an artist’s perspective. If you are an artist making music or wanting to build a career in the music industry, apply for the course to develop your own artist brand! The course is taught by manager and entrepreneur Katja Vauhkonen.
Course contents
The course covers the meaning of branding in the music industry, what constitutes an artist’s brand, and how to crystallise it both verbally and visually. The training will include examples of artist branding to illustrate the characteristics of a successfully built brand.
During the course, the participants will create a personal branding plan that summarises their skills, competencies and the factors that make them stand out. The plan should also include a visual presentation of the brand identity, for example in the form of a mood board. The purpose of the plan is to condense the essence and objectives of one’s work and to consolidate the key characteristics of an artist’s brand to support the students in marketing their own skills. The course instructor will provide feedback on the students’ branding plans.
Objectives
The aim of the course is to help the participants to understand the importance of branding in building a goal-oriented career in the music industry, and to support them in developing their own brand in the desired direction. A concrete branding plan will help participants to identify their strengths and their distinguishing factors, which will enable them to better market their work and skills in the future.
